How did your company start?
My company was started from a talent I didn’t know I had, the art of beading and making jewelry which I love. I am inspired by the colors, textures and the beautiful semi-precious stones I use. Designs By Melba was born when people wanted to buy my jewelry off my neck, it happened so often that I started selling my one of a kind designed jewelry.
What kind of person would enjoy your product or service?
My market is mostly women ages 25-70. There are a few men who also wear my jewelry, or they buy it for gifts.
What is your most popular service or product?
Out of necklaces, bracelets and earrings the earrings are my most popular item.
What makes your business unique?
I create wearable art. Each piece of jewelry is unique and 85% of them are made out of semi-precious stones. There are not many vendors that I see selling handcrafted semi-precious jewelry.
