Tell us about your background and what inspired you to lead this company.
We are Realtors who have lived in Connecticut for most of our lives. We have extreme pride in our state and are thrilled when we are able to help our fellow neighbors and new residents moving into the state. We LOVE real estate, we truly do eat, sleep, and breathe real estate. We love to be able to help our clients fulfill their real estate goals and work towards building generational wealth. We enjoy teaching others about real estate and things to look for when buying or selling their home. But above all, nothing brings us more joy than handing someone the keys to their new home (apartment or investment property) and saying, "Welcome Home!"
What kind of person would enjoy your product or service?
We assist everyone with their real estate needs. Whether they're looking for an apartment, searching for their first home, wanting to build passive income through investing, or preparing to sell their home, we are here to help. We are HONEST, fun, and caring people who do our very best not just to advise our clients, but to teach them the reasoning behind our advice. We know any real estate transaction can be a big, stressful undertaking, but it's also a very exciting experience. So, we do our best to make it as fun, stress-free, and seamless as possible.
What are your best selling products/most popular services?
Right now, we are split pretty evenly between helping sellers, buyers, and investors. Our team is comprised of many different age groups and so are our clients. Many of our buyers and investors are trying to take advantage of the insanely low mortgage rates and purchase a property that will allow them to build equity over the coming years. We are able to find most buyers a home within a month or less. The housing inventory is incredibly low right now, so we have a bunch of sellers who are benefitting from the hot market by downsizing, off-loading some of their investment properties, or taking this opportunity to retire early. With this insane market, we are able to sell most homes in a matter of hours or days.

We LOVE the community of New Haven and the exciting mix of cultures, events, and opportunities within the city. There's always something going on, we love seeing everyone walk around (rather than having to drive everywhere) and enjoy the natural buzz of the city.
Tell us about your day-to-day work routine.
Our work routine changes every day, that's the exciting part of real estate. Some days we're in the office catching up on paperwork, following up with our new connections, and checking in with our clients. Most days, we're on the road doing showings, inspections, listing appointments, video tours for our out-of-state clients, attending networking events, etc.

The members of the Nutmeg Homes team are fun-loving, hard-working, and dedicated to providing the best service possible. We look at our clients as friends and family, putting their goals and needs first and promising to always be honest and transparent with them. We are committed to supporting and respecting them and informing and educating them, so they never feel pressured.
What’s a long term goal you have for your business?
Our primary goals at Nutmeg Homes are to provide the highest-level service to our clients, so they feel confident in their purchase or sale. Additionally, we want to help more people build wealth through real estate and close the generational wealth disparity amongst communities of color. Our long-term goals are to continue to build our team by adding more agents who are looking to be successful in real estate and to expand into new areas of real estate such as short-term rentals or commercial development. Many of our agents are interested in design and renovation, so we'd like to assist those who cannot afford to buy a fully renovated home with their renovation. We'd also like to help sellers who do not have the funds to update their home. Lastly, we have been experiencing one of the tightest housing inventories in Connecticut's history. So, we're working on securing new subdivisions with our investors in order to help address the need for housing in our state.
