Tell us about your background and what inspired you to lead this company.
I am a self taught baker. learned to bake when I opened my first business, Koffee?, 27 years ago. When the cupcake craze happened, my goal was to be the first cupcake place in New Haven. And that's what I did 9 years ago!

This one is tough...the red velvet cupcake for sure, but the cheesecake and macarons aren't far behind.
Tell us about your day-to-day work routine.
My day starts at 12:15 am..I go into the bakery by 1 and start baking. All of our products are baked on sited made from scratch. Nothing comes out of a mix. I leave around 5:45am to Crossfit 3 days and teach spin 2 days.. I'm back by 7:15. Cupcakes get frosted and the store gets set up and opens at 9. I work the front of the store until 1 three days a week and head home by 3 and in bed and asleep by 5.
What’s a long term goal you have for your business?
My goals to create a community where people can come and feel welcome and can add a little sunshine to their day. And during this past year I was able to see that I had achieved what I set out to do.
